Being a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom)

photo from google
Time flies so fast and I could not believe that it has been three years already since I became a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom), WAHM (Work At Home Mom) or full time mom. If you think that being a full time job is easy, then you are definitely wrong. It is not really easy; in fact it is more stressful than working in corporate world.
Choosing to be a full time mom is not an easy decision for me because I know that I have to give up my career and future incomes. The journey is not also easy especially if you are not used to it, there are also times that I cried because I miss working and I want to have my own “me time”. But still, I never regret that I chose this career because even I do not have salary, I know deep in my heart that it is a rewarding career.
I am always there to witness his first cry, first smile, first laugh, first tooth, first crawl, first step, first word and other milestones. I am always at his side 24/7 and I am proud and happy because not all mothers have the chance to be with their child.
My sister lend me a book, “Professionalizing Motherhood” by Jill Savage and this book really helps me a lot and makes me realize that being a full time mom is valuable career choice. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

  1. Hi mommy! It's syndyela from SP message board. Buti ka pa, happy being a SAHM. I was a SAHM din during my baby's first months pero pinag-work ako ng hubby ko nung 8 mos na si baby. If I had a choice, I would like to be a SAHM again, and work at home nalang coz I wanted to be part of my baby's milestones....

If you have time, visit my site also. Following you! :)

God bless you and your family! :)
