Steak and Gravy Sauce

I’m a meat lover so diet is not really for me. Steak is my favorite food so if I’m having a craving for it, I really visit any restaurant who serve steak. But it is much cheaper if I’ll cook it at home. I guess, I’ll be eating more of my favorite foods for the rest of the week since hubby will be having dinner meeting till Friday.

So today, I’ll be having steak. It is another easy to prepare dish and you can have this in less than ten minutes. I usually use salt and pepper to season the steak, sometimes I add garlic powder. I always want a “well done” steak though most people want “medium rare”. Of course steak will not be complete without gravy sauce. God knows how many times I’ve tried to make a gravy sauce but I always failed, but today, I was so happy that I was able to make it. The only secret is, never give up on whisking till you get the right consistency.

I got the step by step process here, but instead of using a stock, I used beef cubes so I no longer add salt. Everything went perfect and my son loves it, he even wants to drink it because he thought it’s a soup.

  1. That steak looks delicious!:) Maka-gravy rin ako, kahit na anong kind (mushroom or gravy), sinasabaw ko sa kanin. Hehe! But I've never tried making it on my own though. Hmmm... masubukan nga.

  2. Sarap! I have to try this gravy recipe. Tagal ko nang nagcrave for gravy and gravies here are nothing like the ones we have there in Pinas. I always thought na gravy is made of pork liver kaya I never attempted to do it on my own.. Thanks for this!
