Milk Dilemma

My son has been drinking Gain since he was six months old and we did not have any problem when we shifted to Gain Plus Advance when he turned 1 yr old but now I am having a problem because he doesn’t like Gain School Advance. I smelled and tasted the milk and I do not see any difference.

Since yesterday, he’s asking for milk but after tasting it, he will no longer drink it. Now, I am thinking if I will stick to Gain Plus Advance (1-3 yrs old) or should I try other milk. Do you have similar experience?

  1. Dito kasi sis, apat lang ang pagpipiliian then yung sa iba kung hindi sya nagco-constipate e nagdadiarrheoa naman sya. So I went back to his usual na suitable for his age then added a teaspoon of powdered chocolate. Konti lang naman coz i don't want to sweeten his milk and it worked. Im not sure if I should do that but id try anything to make him drink his milk... I hope you uminom na sya ulit ng milk.... =)

  2. I do. What you can do sis is paghaluin mo yung milk. like if 6 scoops, 3 from the old gain and then 3 scoops from gain school advance. or kung nalalasahan pa din niya, you can start with one scoop muna tapos madami nang padami hanggang masanay siya sa lasa.

  3. Si Alex sis, Gain School na rin. Ang na notice ko lang na difference, mas pino yung powder ng Gain School.. other than that wala na. Last year nanibago sya, nung magpalit yung Gain Plus Advance. Siguro 2 days din sya mahina dumede.. then back to normal kasi nasanay din ata sa taste.

  4. @ kristeta - mukhang di magwork yung chocolate kasi ayaw nun ng cholate drink, weird nga kasi gusto niya ng chocolate and chocolate cake pero drinks ayaw. sana nga magmilk na ulit. thanks.

@cha - i will try that, sana di niya malasahan yung gain school.

@nuna - correct, pino nga yung powder ng Gain school. sana nga masanay din sa taste. mula kagabi, ayaw na ng milk kahit tanungin ko, siguro expected na niya lasa. :(

  5. Sis, try Anchor for toddlers 1-3 y/o.

  7. Oh noh! Actually, ung baby ko ganyan din. Nagformula lng cya ng 2weeks. Hangang ngayon she prefers breastmilk. Although pag nauuto ko, napapainom ko ng Anchor or Bear brand's: choco na gatas, gatas na choco. Nakakahinayang lng minsan kc yung milk hindi nauubos. Pero pag gnun, nilalalgay ko sa freezer then I tell her its ice cream, effective nmn :)

  9. after breastfeeding my kids, they never liked the taste of powder milk. i never insisted. we have fresh milk here in seoul so that's what i give them everyday. whenever we go home for vacation there in Pinas, I buy the tetra pak milk (Nestle).

  10. Sis, try mo kaya i-switch sa low-fat fresh milk or give your child other sources of calcium? Yung 2-yr old ko umaayaw na rin sa fresh milk so what I do is buy lots of cheese strings and yogurt.
