Over the weekend, I asked my hubby if he really likes to enroll my son this school year because last Friday my son didn’t want to go to school. I told you before that I’m having dilemma every morning, it is really a struggle to prepare my son in his summer class. I don’t know what is the problem? I did not experience this last year. (summer class)
My husband took a leave last Monday so I could have a semi day off. To my surprise, there were no drama moments, my son took a bath, put on his clothes and ate breakfast. He was really excited that day. My husband told my son that they will ride tricycle but my son doesn’t want to ride tricycle and he said “no, I want car”. Oh my goodness, choosy na ang aking anak, it seems he doesn’t want to go to school pag commute kami. Hay! But he has no choice because his dad cannot accompany him every day so we have to ride tricycle whether he likes it or not.
Anyway, I already paid his tuition, it’s been nine years since the last time I paid tuition and I wasn’t prepared with long lines. It took me more than an hour to pay his tuition, books, uniforms and portfolio. Now, I have to go to bookstore to buy some plastic cover so I can wrap his books. #excited.
Naku, that's my fear din. By next year, magsschool nadin si Akira. So far, ngayon, excited siya pumasok kasi every sat lng nmn ang classes. Hindi ko lng sure panu nlng kung everyday :(
ReplyDeletelast year excited siya pumasok pag sa school na ko may problem, ayaw pumasok sa room, mga more than a week. now naman ang problem ko, yung pagpunta sa school pero pagdating dun, diretso classroom naman. weird.
Deletewhat is he taking for summer class? my daughter (2.5yrs old) is going to pre nursery classes already and doesn't want to go to school too. We're suspecting that the teacher spanks her that's why she's afraid of going to school everyday. Hay!
ReplyDeletemore on singing, dancing and artwork sila. we asked the teacher naman kung kumusta anak ko, ok naman daw, nagpaparticipate lagi. siguro tinatamad kasi 8am ang pasok, so aga namin nagpreprepare. kala nga namin baka may nagbully or napalo din, pero wala naman. ask mo din sis sa teacher. =)
DeleteOh, I miss wrapping books with the plastic cover. I miss the smell of new notebooks, new pencils, new crayons....
ReplyDeleteI know it can be really frustrating when the kid doesn't want to go to school and it's even more difficult to understand their reasons. Try not to convince him in a "forcing" way. Tell him stories (in a very enthusiastic tone) all the good things about going to school and assure him that he will be safe there and that he will enjoy the time. You can also try to ask him why he doesn't want to go and to assure him that he can tell you anything.
Perhaps you have already done those so I really hope that he'll get over this phase soon :)

sa tingin ko wala problem sa school sis, ang problem ko yung preparation. hindi siya naeexcite na magprepare siguro nga dahil magcocommute kami. hayz! pero pagnakita na niya school niya, excited na at nalilimutan na sa kin magbabye, diretso na sa teacher. weird talaga. you're right, it is really frustrating...

DeleteIt's normal. I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually. Here in SG, I've noticed parents enrol their kids to daycare in as early as 18 months. Although I'm starting to see the logic in that too since I want the Little One to be around kids her age and develop her social skills. It won't hurt naman right? =)
