I’ve been trying to keep this secret of mine since last month. I thought I would never blog about this and this event will just pass by without you knowing it. I’m scared because you might laugh at me but I know that there is nothing to be ashamed of and I have to make a stand. If you've been reading this blog for quite some time now, you know already that I have psoriasis and I've been blogging about it since last year.
We had Asian PsorClub meeting last month and our group nominated me to be the representative of Mr. and Ms. PsorPhil. Yes, you’ve read it right I’m joining Mr. and Ms. Psorphil because I have no choice, hahaha! I know that I don’t have the look and body for beauty contest nor I’m popular to get popularity votes but I can’t say no because I know that this is the only thing that I can do for our group.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
This is not a beauty contest for obvious reasons; all delegates have psoriasis so we’re not flawless. This is a fund raising event of PsorPhil so we can continue to help and serve Filipinos who have psoriasis. You can click here to read more stories why your support is very critical to our group.
I’m the official candidate of Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC), you can see my picture here, #06.
As I mentioned before, this is a fundraising event so each candidate has 100 envelopes, flyers and letters to disseminate our advocacy.
Greetings from Psoriasis Philippines!
For the past seven (7) years, Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil) has been advocating for the Filipinos suffering from psoriasis. It has raised the public’s awareness through local and national awareness campaigns. It has served the community in securing access to proper treatments and elevates individual’s self-esteem with various projects that it has created to its members free of charge. With its very limited resources, PsorPhil has been able to give livelihood and medical support to its most economically challenged members. At the heart of all these activities is The PsorPhil Resource Centerr (PPRC) that acts as the headquarters of its leaders and volunteers.
For us to be able to continue serving Filipinos with psoriasis, we are organizing another event which is called Search for Mr. and Ms. PsorPhil 2012. This is a fund raising event for PsorPhil for us to be able to continue serving Filipinos with psoriasis.
The winner/s will be crowned on August 18, 2012.
Thank you very much!

The first canvassing date was June 16, 2012, I know I still don’t have votes because I just received the envelopes last Saturday but hopefully we can submit the envelopes on July 16 and August 11, 2012.
