How to Open an Account in COL Financial

I tried stock market just last year and I persuaded my husband to open an account too in BPI Trade because he only needs P500 to maintain the account and no minimum investmemt. But few months after he opened his trade account, they had COL Financial (formerly Citisec Online) seminar in his office so last December he went to COL Financial office to open an account. Unlike in BPI Trade where you can apply only online, in COL you can personally apply or through online too.

To Open a COL Account

1.Choose the type of account

*COL Starter – entry level account, refreshed-based data and inimum investment is P5,000
*COL Plus – for active traders, streaming data and minimum investment is P25,000
*COL Premium – top of the line servers, personalized relationship manager and minimum investment is P1,000,000.

2.Forms and Requirements

*Fill out the Application Forms – Customer Account Information Form, Specimen Signature Card and Online Trading Securities Agreement.

*Additional Requirements for Filipino Citizens – photocopy of 1 valid Philippine Government issued ID and Billing Statement.

*A Philippine local bank account is advantageous to handle withdrawals from your COL account.

*Submit the complete requirements to 2403-B, East Tower, Philippine Stock Exchange Center, Exchange Road, Pasig 1605 Philippines
*A sales officer will contact you via email or phone to inform you of your account status and COL account number.

In my husband’s experience, he submitted the form, paid the minimum investment and he received the status and COL account number before he left the office.

4.Funding your COL Account

*Overseas Remittance
*Online Bills Payment –BPI, BDO and Metrobank.
*Over the Counter Bills Payment – BPI, BDO and Metrobank
*COL Business Center

Once funded, your COL username and password will be emailed to you within 24-48 hours. Use the details to log into your account so you can start investing.

This is another option if you want to try stock market.
