First Week of School

Our first week of school had been so stressful because we’re not used to 7:15AM class. For the last two years my son’s schedule is 10:30AM so preparing for school was not a problem.

I was so stressed out on our first day of school because the school service forgot to pick us up, good thing my husband was still there so he dropped us in school before going to the office but we were late already and I missed the 15 minutes parents orientation. #epicfail My son brought his grooming kit only.

On our second day, we brought all his books, notebooks and school supplies. Good thing that we can accompany our child all the way to the classroom so I was able to help my son. #perksofmorningclass

On the third and fourth day, I was still in school waiting for my son till dismissal and I have to control myself not to get him. I have to distance myself and let the service pick up my son. It pains me to see him waiting for the service while all his classmates left already. #latekasiservicedumating During first and second day, hindi kasi ko nakatiis, nakita ko pa lang teacher niya na nagtatawag na, nakikipila na ko para kunin anak ko. Hehehe!

Last day na kasama pa ko. :)
I accompanied my son for one week in his school service because I’m not sure if he is ready or let us say, I’m still a paranoid mom who are not ready to let my baby go. For the last two years, I’m the one who send and fetch him in school. This is the first time that I availed school service so I just want to make sure that he can carry his things, he knows his classroom and he will not cry.

Yesterday was the first time that I would entrust my son to someone so I was really worried. I told them to accompany my son till classroom. My son got in the service with a sad face. My husband secretly went to school and check what will happen if I was not there to assist my son. The school service assisted my son till classroom, then my son saw my husband at the window so hubby entered the classroom and my son asked him “What are you doing here?” hehehe!

Now is the second day and he was not sad anymore so sana tuloy tuloy na. I hope that he will learn to be independent soon.

  4. I'm like that too! I always stay for a few minutes looking through the window to see what my little boy is doing and if he's okay. Nako, I had a recent separation anxiety in Sunday school naman. Read my blog post about it, ang drama ko lang!

  5. Don't worry. You'll get used to this and so will your son. :) Try not to stress too much.

  6. My daughter's class starts at 12 but I am still getting stressed about school. Haha! My problem naman is I have two kids to prepare. My girl (who goes to school) and my boy (who comes with us to school). Medyo mahirap with two little ones.

  7. I actually love that so many of us mommies are suffering from separation anxiety at the start of this school year. Makes me feel not so alone hehe. Hugs! We've done well with out kids. They can totally manage without us (even if it hurts to admit it huhuhu)
