In the mid 1980’s, we’ve been hearing a lot about “globalization” and in the year 2000, IMF identified the four basic aspects of it and this includes dissemination of knowledge, migration and movement of people, capital and investment movements and trade and transactions.
Nowadays, it is very obvious that we are seeing the movement of trade and transactions. Globalization makes the world smaller because it is the main reason why Filipinos have more access to goods and services from different countries. Filipinos now have more shopping choices because there are more products coming from different countries. No need to travel just to buy those products but we have to admit that not all imported goods and products are high quality so as consumers, we need to be smart.
Good thing that there are country like Taiwan who are willing to organized campaign to help Filipinos in identifying the best products. With the help of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), R.O.C. Taiwan and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), they launched Taiwan Excellence campaign here in the Philippines.
This is the very first time that happened in our country so take advantage the opportunity to discover the wide array of Taiwanese products with the seal of quality. You will know about the 56 quality brands which fall under information and communications technologies (ICT), home and living and sports industries. I’m pretty sure that you are already familiar with these brands such as Acer, Asus, BenQ, Draytek, HCG, KingCom, KW Trio, Kymco, MSI, Silicon Power, Sym, Transcend, and others.
What is Taiwan Excellence?
Taiwan Excellence campaign was started in 1980 to raise Taiwan’s international competitiveness by supporting its local brands and was established in 1992. This campaign recognizes high quality Taiwanese brands to guarantee superior quality and value of products.
Qualifying for these awards is not easy because products undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure that they are of the highest standard and can proudly represent the unique and innovative culture of Taiwan. It is based in R&D design, quality and marketing efforts. The awarded products are allowed to use the Taiwan Seal locally and internationally. So whenever you see a seal, you know that it is high quality.
This year, we have the opportunity to discover and learn more about Tawainese products. The campaign “Excellent Lifestyle” has already started since June 26, 2014. Check the different roadshows
