Toy for Joy

Toy for Joy is one of the school activities in my son’s school. Pupils are requested to bring new educational toys and story books to be given to Kinder Pupils of school partner communities.

It was supposed to be last December 5, 2014 but we have no classes because of typhoon Ruby so they moved the event last December 11, 2014. I went with my son so I could watch the event, I didn’t know that they have Carol Fest so I wasn’t prepared, I have no ipad nor camera. Good thing I was able to video their presentation even my phone kept on telling me, “Space is low”.

This is a nice activity because children will learn the value of sharing and caring for others. But it is also better if kids will be the one to give the toys and books to partner communities so they will really experience the “giving” part. Kids just place the toys and books under the Christmas tree.

  2. This is such a worthwhile activity for privileged kids to understand how blessed they are and at the same time learn to share their blessing with others!

  7. My kids also have those gift drives sa school every Christmas. I think most private schools especially run by nuns or Catholic schools do this. Sana lang they really teach the kids minsan to share from what they have, and not buy.
