Lunch at TGI Fridays Southwoods Mall

TGI Fridays is an American restaurant chain that has been around since 1965 and now they have more than 931 restaurants around the world including the Philippines. I don’t know how long they are here in the Philippines but one thing for sure, matagal na talaga. Yes, matagal ko na ring niyaya si hubby na kumain sa TGI Fridays pero lagi niya sinasabi na hindi naman masarap diyan e.

Last week, my friends and I went to Southwoods Mall for our birthday celebration. Marami kami August celebrants kaso not all are available on that date pero tinuloy na rin namin bago pa matapos ang August. We’re choosing between two restaurants pero sarado pa pala ang isa so we ended up at TGI Fridays.

I hate to admit but it was my first time so it took me a while to browse their menu. While checking their menu, the staff gave us complimentary chips. They offer soup, salad, sandwiches, burger, pasta and main courses. We are just a group of three persons so we ordered their platter meal so we can try different foods.

We got Seafood Platter for P1395 + SC, a platter of fried calamari, white fish fillet, shrimp, marinara sauce and tartar sauce. My favorite here is the fried calamari.

We also ordered Three-Meat Platter for P1,499.99 +SC, a platter of Filipino Pork Liempo, Pork Adobo, Grilled BBQ Chicken, ensalada corn and garlic vinegar. Additional 2 cups of rice too. Our personal favorite here is the Pork Adobo, the meat is so tender, juicy and flavorful.

We enjoyed our food trip here, we are satisfied with the food and service. After getting our bill, I finally understood why my husband doesn’t want to eat at TGI Fridays, hehehe! As I’ve mentioned, we are only a group of 3 persons and our total bill is PHP3000+ and we did not order drinks or desserts. #pangbuffetnayun
