We are not really fond of canned goods but I still buy canned goods for emergency purposes like we don’t have time to cook, no food in the fridge and if there’s calamity and we can’t go out. There are three canned goods that I usually buy, they are sardines, spam and corned beef.
Speaking of corned beef, there are two brands in our cupboard, Purefoods and Palm, the latter is from balikbayan box but I usually buy Purefoods in the supermarket.
Two months ago my friend asked me a favor to buy Delimondo Corned Beef in S&R. I always see this corned beef and I thought it is an imported brand because the price is not cheap. Little did I know that this corned beef is a local brand owned by Katrina Ponce Enrile, the CEO of JAKA group of Companies.
The brand has no commercial or ads but it became popular through word of mouth. I’ve read and heard lot of good reviews so the following month, I bought this corned too.
There are two flavors but I chose the Ranch Style P145.
Two weeks ago, my son went home from school and he couldn’t wait for my Chicken Tinola so I opened the Delimondo Corned Beef. True enough, there is no fat in their beef.
Like my friend said, you can just reheat it which I did. No garlic, no onion and no salt. The corned beef was already seasoned and flavorful, easy dish talaga. We all loved it so it is now included in my grocery list.
My daughter and I love corned beef. Whenever we don't have ulam at home anymore, we just sauté corned beef with onion and tomato and we're good to go!ReplyDelete
Yes, easy to prepare meal. :)Delete
We love Delimondo! It's the only corned beef brand we buy these days. Bought Palm a while back and was disappointed because for the high price it wasn't all that great.ReplyDelete
Disappointing talaga kapag mahal tapos hindi pasado sa expectation natin. :)Delete
I first tasted Delimondo Corned Beef when I got the chance to sing regularly at a restaurant of the Enrile Family at Makati. They give us free dinners and one time they served us their very own corned beef (Delimondo) and we liked it a lot ^^ReplyDelete
I want to visit their restaurant too. I wanted to try other Delimondo products na wala sa grocery.Delete
Patikim paguwi ko:)ReplyDelete
Sa S&R? Hmmm.. lemme check on my next trip there. Sana matikman ko. I also buy canned goods but limit them at least once in every 2 weeks, or better yet, once a month.ReplyDelete
Hindi available sa ibang grocery.Delete
I've seen Delimondo in the groceries we frequent but we haven't tried it yet. We usually buy Purefoods too. But now that I've learned that Delimondo corned beef doesn't only taste good but doesn't contain fat too, I'm definitely more interested to try it out.ReplyDelete
Kahit sa tindahan kasi may Purefoods brand.🙂Delete
Before palm corned beef lang like ko, my officemate told me to try the Delimondo same corned beef serve in Jollibee whenI tried it it taste good talaga.ReplyDelete
Kaya pala type ko corned beef meal ng Jollibee. :)Delete
I love Delimondo! They're actually in most grocery stores. I didn't know Katrina Ponce Enrile owned it! I thought it was an imported brand.ReplyDelete
Akala ko din imported eh.Delete
We love Delimondo! Lalo na yung Garlic and Chili nila. The best talaga! :)ReplyDelete
Hindi ko pa natry anv garlic and chili. Spicy ba?Delete
I've tried this one too. But to be honest, I still prefer Libby or Purefoods :)ReplyDelete
To each his own. Di ko pa natry Libby.Delete
We used to always buy Delimondo. Recently my parents bought a load of Palm corned beef and it's good too! Right now my husband prefers Highlands, though, and it's cheaper too.ReplyDelete
I haven't tried Highlands brand.Delete
Sa akin Purefoods talaga ako talagang the best kumpara sa iba dito na lang ako gawang san miguel yata yan!ReplyDelete
Masarap naman Purefoods. I still buy this brand from time to time. :)Delete
