My husband is always busy so most of the time, he doesn’t pay too much attention to all the text that he receives from his postpaid plan or any other text alert on his phone. Then two months ago, he discovered that he can use his points in SM Cinema so lagi niya kami niyaya na manood ng movie. But my son and I always decline, natatamad kami. Hehehe!
We seldom watch movie because it is expensive and we have our own preferences. My son likes cartoons, my husband of course, likes thrilling and action movies while I like feel good movies. So choices pa lang ng movie, di na kami magkasundo. Hehehe!
Last Saturday, we really had no plan in watching a movie. We just need to pay bills and go to the supermarket. On our way to S&R, my husband suggested that we should watch a movie first before grocery so we went straight to Southmall.
Feeling ko strategy niya yan kasi no choice na kaming mag-ina at nakasakay na kami ng kotse. Hehehe! I’m not updated with the movies but I saw the “Oops, Noah is Gone” so I suggested this to hubby because it is included in Family Movie Day Oct. 15-16, 2016.
Buy two SM Cinema Tickets and get two additional tickets for FREE
Free movie tickets are applicable to kids 4ft and below.
Free movie tickets must be used on the same schedule of the purchased tickets.
But my husband prefers “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”. I don’t know how to redeem the Smart Rewards Points for movie tickets because my husband did it. Well, it is not totally a FREE movie date because we need to pay P1 each for paper cost fee.
I have no time to search for this movie so nung nag-umpisa, natakot na ko kasi mukhang horror. Knowing me, I don’t like horror movies but my husband said “hindi ito horror, magic ito”.
Throughout the movie, my son was whispering to me.
Ethan: Mommy, this is a horror movie.
Mommy, I don't like this movie.
Mommy, daddy chose the wrong movie. (Repeat for the nth time)
After the movie, he said to his daddy.
Ethan: Daddy, nagwaste tayo ng 3hrs. Hahaha (more or less 2 hrs lang movie)
Well, good thing that we only paid P3 for this movie. Actually, nagkanightmare pa anak ko dito, he really woke up in the middle of the night sa takot. So hindi niya talaga makalimutan that “daddy chose the wrong movie”. hehehe!
So if you have Smart Postpaid line, don’t forget to use your points. Sayang talaga yung mga hindi naredeem ni hubby. As far as I can remember, five years ago yung last namin nagamit yung points niya. We also watched movie.

Smart Rewards and SM Cinema Tickets and Treats
We also used his points for Red Ribbon mamon, o di ba may baon na anak ko sa school. Hehehe!
Some of the text was not completely clear to me. However I read that you had a great movie night after all. I don't like horror and scary movies. My husband loves action movies, but I would rather see a good comedy or romantic movie. :)ReplyDelete
with love, Sabine
free movies? that is a great treat. want to watch a movie though we are very near the mall, i still feel guilty bout going out and leaving our 1 year old.ReplyDelete
I feel you, after I gave birth, it took me two years before we watch movie in the big screen.Delete
Wow! I do not remember when was the last time I watched a movie! Sobrang tagal na talaga! huhu.ReplyDelete
Great treat!! Sayang nga lang kase hndi nagustuhan ng kid mo yung movie.:) haha I should check my rewards from time to time. Baka meron na rin ako.:)ReplyDelete
Yes, good thing we only paid P3 at super reklamo. hehehe!Delete
I'm no longer up to date with what's showing in cinemas nowadays. Wala nako time since I became a mom and I no longer have a movie partner so there goes. At least you didn't spend that much for a movie you didn't really wanted to watch. :) Though I've seen mix reviews about the book. I might try to get my hand on it.ReplyDelete
Maybe, it is not our type of film. We seldom watch movies too especially we have different preferences. :)Delete
naku, choosing a movie nowadays depends on what the kids want talaga. buti na lang you paid for 3php lang.ReplyDelete
PS: It was nice to finally meet you last Saturday :)
Korek, puro like ng kid ang madalas masunod na movie. Nice to meet you too!Delete
Hahahaha! Natatawa ako kasi for sure nakonsensya ang daddy for choosing the wrong movie. :P Kawawa naman si LO for having a nightmare. Buti na lang talaga 3 Php lang ang ginastos nyo all in all. The last time my husband and I watched in a movie house was Train to Busan pa and I also got the tickets free lang din. Buti na lang I enjoyed the movie. Hindi kasi talaga ako mahilig manood sa sinehan.ReplyDelete
Buti nga P3 lang kundi mas nakakahinayang. Hubby ko lang nakanood ng Train to Busan, ayokong takutin sarili ko. Hehehe!Delete
Is it really that bad. My boys wanted to watch it too, but we never had the tine to do so and ended watching another movie... MaxSteel. It was a good watch, my boys (including hubby) enjoyed it.ReplyDelete
No, the movie is not that bad but my son wanted the "Oops, Noah is Gone". :)Delete
Free movies are music to my husband's ears. He's such a movie buff. Sometimes, I am the one who wastes money because I sleep inside the movie house whenever I find a movie boring. LOLReplyDelete
Hehehe! Even the movie is so boring, I control myself not to sleep kasi sayang bayad. :)Delete
Who doesn't love freebies? I want free movie passes, too. Lol!ReplyDelete
Wow! This made me realize I haven't watched a movie in the cinema for 3 years now. That's cool for Smart to give freebies. I don't like watching horror movies as well but for P3, I'd give it a chance. LolReplyDelete
Globe also have freebies, we redeemed free movie passes before. Yes, P3 lang naman. :)Delete
Oooh my hubby just got two Smart postpaid lines last month. I'll tell him about the points. We love watching movies!ReplyDelete
Wow! The cashier shared this to us but by schedule daw sya ano?ReplyDelete
From south ka din mommy? :)
Yes, there is specific schedule for The Family Movie Day. I noticed na pag may new movie sila na pambata saka sila may sked. Yes, I'm from South Luzon. :)Delete
Hahaha! My husband wanted to bring our son to watch this movie also, buti nalang hindi. Scary pala!ReplyDelete
Scary for kids. :)Delete
Hahahaha si daddy talaga! A lot of my friends loved the book, but I'm not familiar with it so I'll just assume it's good. I didn't know it was scary!ReplyDelete
It is not really scary but for my son, it is a scary movie. :)Delete
Is it just me or I found Ms. Perez awesome!ReplyDelete
Freebies and perks! I haven't seen the movie but I want to. I think i need to check my reward points na rin heheheReplyDelete
Waaah showing na pala Ms Peregrine? Or baka tapos na? I wanted to watch that XDReplyDelete
wow okay free movie sa mahal ng sine ngayun -) thanks for sharing how to use smart reward for a free movie sayang langa ng points namin na hindi nagagamitReplyDelete
Yes, sayang talaga so take advantage of it. :)Delete
This is a Good reminder to check on my points every now and then. I.Seldom watch a movie as I always have a baby to think about.ReplyDelete
We stopped watching movie too when I had my son, it took us two years bago nakanood ulit.Delete
I also get reward points from Globe Post paid when I load in my mobile phone. I'll take note of this na haha from now on. Yung Peregrine's medyo scary nga sya pero more on magical side din. Medyo dark lang talaga yung movie, kahit yung bunso ko natakot.ReplyDelete
Yes, we also redeem points from Globe pero so far konti lang option nila. True, medyo scary for kids kaya di bet ng anak ko.Delete
I once won tickets also from Nestle ice cream but sadly, wasn't able to use it. My husband's prepaid line with globe also earns points for movies but we don't get to watch too. Boohoo. We seldom watch movies na kasi since the kids.ReplyDelete
Nice, I only have few reward points in Globe so I always redeem the BR50 (less P50 on my bill). Di abot na pang movie. :)Delete
My family loves to watch movies together. Since my younger children are aged 12 and 16, we don't find it difficult anymore to agree on what movie to watch unlike when they were much younger.ReplyDelete
I will wait for the tween and teenage years of my son. :)Delete
Actually yong trailer mommy parang nakakatakot nga. Hehe! Buti nalang it was just P3 hehe...Mother knows best talaga :pReplyDelete
I can't wait to have a movie date with daughter, few more years pa!
True, trailer lang pa lang, scary na. :)Delete
We really should take advantage of rewards points and such. I loved the book and I'd like to watch the movie. Probably when it's on video though.ReplyDelete
It's nice that there's reward points these days no? We loved this movie.ReplyDelete
