Our Free Movie Date

My husband is always busy so most of the time, he doesn’t pay too much attention to all the text that he receives from his postpaid plan or any other text alert on his phone. Then two months ago, he discovered that he can use his points in SM Cinema so lagi niya kami niyaya na manood ng movie. But my son and I always decline, natatamad kami. Hehehe!

We seldom watch movie because it is expensive and we have our own preferences. My son likes cartoons, my husband of course, likes thrilling and action movies while I like feel good movies. So choices pa lang ng movie, di na kami magkasundo. Hehehe!

Last Saturday, we really had no plan in watching a movie. We just need to pay bills and go to the supermarket. On our way to S&R, my husband suggested that we should watch a movie first before grocery so we went straight to Southmall.

Feeling ko strategy niya yan kasi no choice na kaming mag-ina at nakasakay na kami ng kotse. Hehehe! I’m not updated with the movies but I saw the “Oops, Noah is Gone” so I suggested this to hubby because it is included in Family Movie Day Oct. 15-16, 2016.

Buy two SM Cinema Tickets and get two additional tickets for FREE
Free movie tickets are applicable to kids 4ft and below.
Free movie tickets must be used on the same schedule of the purchased tickets.

But my husband prefers “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”. I don’t know how to redeem the Smart Rewards Points for movie tickets because my husband did it. Well, it is not totally a FREE movie date because we need to pay P1 each for paper cost fee.

I have no time to search for this movie so nung nag-umpisa, natakot na ko kasi mukhang horror. Knowing me, I don’t like horror movies but my husband said “hindi ito horror, magic ito”.

Throughout the movie, my son was whispering to me.

Ethan: Mommy, this is a horror movie.
Mommy, I don't like this movie.
Mommy, daddy chose the wrong movie. (Repeat for the nth time)

After the movie, he said to his daddy.

Ethan: Daddy, nagwaste tayo ng 3hrs. Hahaha (more or less 2 hrs lang movie)

Well, good thing that we only paid P3 for this movie. Actually, nagkanightmare pa anak ko dito, he really woke up in the middle of the night sa takot. So hindi niya talaga makalimutan that “daddy chose the wrong movie”. hehehe!

So if you have Smart Postpaid line, don’t forget to use your points. Sayang talaga yung mga hindi naredeem ni hubby. As far as I can remember, five years ago yung last namin nagamit yung points niya. We also watched movie.

We also used his points for Red Ribbon mamon, o di ba may baon na anak ko sa school. Hehehe!

  1. Some of the text was not completely clear to me. However I read that you had a great movie night after all. I don't like horror and scary movies. My husband loves action movies, but I would rather see a good comedy or romantic movie. :)

  5. I'm no longer up to date with what's showing in cinemas nowadays. Wala nako time since I became a mom and I no longer have a movie partner so there goes. At least you didn't spend that much for a movie you didn't really wanted to watch. :) Though I've seen mix reviews about the book. I might try to get my hand on it.

  7. Hahahaha! Natatawa ako kasi for sure nakonsensya ang daddy for choosing the wrong movie. :P Kawawa naman si LO for having a nightmare. Buti na lang talaga 3 Php lang ang ginastos nyo all in all. The last time my husband and I watched in a movie house was Train to Busan pa and I also got the tickets free lang din. Buti na lang I enjoyed the movie. Hindi kasi talaga ako mahilig manood sa sinehan.

  9. Free movies are music to my husband's ears. He's such a movie buff. Sometimes, I am the one who wastes money because I sleep inside the movie house whenever I find a movie boring. LOL

  21. I also get reward points from Globe Post paid when I load in my mobile phone. I'll take note of this na haha from now on. Yung Peregrine's medyo scary nga sya pero more on magical side din. Medyo dark lang talaga yung movie, kahit yung bunso ko natakot.

  23. My family loves to watch movies together. Since my younger children are aged 12 and 16, we don't find it difficult anymore to agree on what movie to watch unlike when they were much younger.
