Day 3 in Taipei was the official kickoff for our Taipei Fun Pass Unlimited adventure! We grabbed our pass on Klook, and let me tell you, it made getting around and hitting attractions a total breeze. With unlimited MRT rides, bus access, entry to museums and attractions, plus some extra perks, we barely had to think about transport or tickets.
After claiming our pass, we got a handy booklet and map with suggested itineraries, plus the Taipei Fun Pass App, which made planning on the go super easy. For Day 3, we decided to follow the Family Fun Trip itinerary, a perfect mix of scenic rides, culture, wildlife, and city views.

Morning: Maokong Gondola Adventure
We started the day bright and early with the Maokong Gondola. Honestly, this is one of the best ways to use the Fun Pass! The ride itself is slow and relaxing, giving you panoramic views of lush mountains as Taipei fades into the distance. For those not afraid of heights, the crystal cabin offers a thrilling glass-floor experience!
Tea Ceremony in Maokong
At the top, we explored Maokong, famous for its tea plantations. One of the highlights was joining a traditional tea ceremony.
The activity itself is free, where visitors can use a brush to write blessings, but the staff offered tea for NTD 100 per person. We happily accepted, sipping tea while waiting for the ceremony to begin. It was a calming and culturally enriching experience.
Afternoon: Exploring Taipei Zoo
After enjoying the mountain air and lunch, we headed to Taipei Zoo, conveniently located near the gondola station. The zoo is vast, so be prepared to walk! While we didn’t see everything, highlights included the giant pandas and beautifully designed enclosures. It’s both fun and educational, and surprisingly relaxing despite being a popular attraction.
Late Afternoon: Miramar Ferris Wheel Views
By late afternoon, we visited the Miramar Ferris Wheel, located on top of a shopping mall. It’s hard to miss and well worth the visit. While many visitors wait for sunset, we went earlier to have dinner afterward. Still, the view of Taipei from above was stunning, offering a peaceful end to our adventurous day.
Looking back, Day 3 had the perfect balance of nature, culture, and city fun. The Taipei Fun Pass made everything seamless and convenient, letting us focus on experiences rather than logistics. If you plan to follow a similar itinerary, grouping these spots together is a smart way to enjoy a smooth and unforgettable day in Taipei.
I’ll share more detailed posts about each attraction soon, so stay tuned for tips and insights on making the most of each stop!
