But I don’t have any food color at home so last week I went to the grocery and fortunately I found the Pillsbury Classic White Mix and bought food coloring too. The sad part is there are only two colors available in the grocery.

Yesterday, my son saw me reading the procedures of the cake mix and he asked me if we will bake rainbow cupcakes and I said yes.
Ethan: Let’s bake rainbow cupcakes.
Me: Later pa. Finish your food and we will do your homework first.
After eating.
Ethan: Mommy, let’s bake rainbow cupcakes.
Me: Later pa, sa merienda 2PM. Study first.
After homework.
Ethan: Let’s bake rainbow cupcakes. Stop working mommy.
Me: Later, I’ll call you if we will bake na.
Ending, he locked himself in the room and he didn’t want to bake anymore. #nagtampo So I bake the rainbow cupcake on my own.

When I placed the muffin tray in the oven, I went to the room and persuaded my son to go down and check the cupcake. Ending, bumaba din siya and he kept on checking the cupcake in the oven. Waiting for the baking and cooling period to finish.

Like I said, I only have two food colors so it looks like Christmas Cupcake but in the eyes of my son, it is still Rainbow Cupcake. We love the cupcake because it is soft and moist. He finished two cupcakes and requested na baon niya yun today. I will go to the grocery again and look for other food colorings so I can bake a real rainbow cupcake. I still have 1 box of instant mix.

I love the color! even if it feels like Christmas. Still you do it for your son. Minsan kasi mahirap sila suyuin specially pag gusto talaga nila yung gagawin niyo. Buti na lang sumunod pa din siya. This is a nice idea para sa Christmas :)

Those cupcakes are really cute! Very Christmas-y indeed. I really, really, really need an oven. Naiinggit na ako! I used to bake every weekend for my family, but since we moved to our apartment, I had to stop since I can't bring my mom's oven there.
My kid likes bonding in the kitchen after she had a chance to try out decorating cookies at CCA. We'll do this at home soon.

baking is my biggest pangarap ever! hehe! i love the cupcake, very Christmas-y.. oh my malapit na.. :) and i'm sure your son will enjoy na next time lalo na pag complete na yung rainbow colors. ^_^
I've always wanted to try out baking but I have no talent whatsoever in the kitchen. Maybe I'll try it out when we have a place of our own and I have the kitchen all to myself. Hahaha.
We love anything rainbow! Nakukutuwa kasi kahit may "mali" sa gawa natin, perfect pa din in the eyes of our babies.

Well, yeah it is Christmas-ish, but hey Christmas is just around the corner. Now you could plan this as Christmas giveaway to friends and relatives..looks yummy!

You just spoon in the different colors, one over the other? They don't end up mixing? :) I've a;ways wanted to make my baked stuff more colorful but I don't know how hehehe.
