When it comes to Filipino restaurants, MESA is one of the more popular choices, known for serving flavorful dishes that are perfect for sharing. With several branches all over the Philippines, it has become a go-to spot for families looking for comforting Filipino food.
Over the past decade, we’ve dined at different MESA branches, including SM Southmall, SM North, SM Grand, SM Sta. Rosa, and most recently, Robinsons Galleria South.
Robinsons Galleria South is our usual mall whenever we need to visit government agencies such as Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and even the DFA when they set up a temporary office there. Just this month, I had to update my records at Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth, which gave us the perfect excuse to drop by the mall—and enjoy an early lunch at MESA.

We arrived early and were the restaurant’s first diners, so our orders came out quickly. We ordered Binagoongang Baboy ni Kaka (₱405), Garlic Chicken (₱365), Laing Two Ways (₱270), and rice at ₱55 per cup. For a family of three, the servings were quite generous, so much so that we ended up taking the Laing home.
