Graduation Craft Ideas: Tote Bags, Cards & Cake Toppers

I’m excited to share the graduation-themed paper craft projects I’ve been creating over the past few months. From tote bags and cake toppers to handmade cards, these projects were such a fun way to celebrate graduation season while experimenting with different crafting techniques and materials.
 
Watch Me Bloom Mini Tote Bag

 
Last year, I had the opportunity to be part of the Printable Cuttable Creatables Design Team, and this month I returned as a guest designer for their graduation-themed challenge. For my project, I created this adorable “Watch Me Bloom” Mini Tote Bag.
 
This was a simple yet enjoyable project made using the Cricut Design Space with my Cricut Maker 3 and Cricut EasyPress 3. I used iron-on vinyl along with Ohuhu fabric markers to add extra details to the tote bag. It was actually my first time trying fabric markers, and I really enjoyed the creative process.
 
The design I used was the “Watch Me Bloom” SVG file from Printable Cuttable Creatables.
 
Graduation Cake Toppers
 
I also made two graduation cake toppers for this season. The first was a printable cake topper, while the second featured a layered paper-craft design for added dimension and texture.


 
Both topper designs were created using SVG files from Cricut Design Space. I love how versatile these designs are for customizing graduation party decorations.
 
Congratulations Cards
 
One of my favorite parts of this crafting series was making handmade congratulations cards. In total, I created five different cards, each with its own unique style.






The first card featured a layered balloon design paired with a “Congrats” phrase. The second card was a draw-and-color project, while the remaining three were cutaway cards. For these cards, I used the Cricut machine to draw, cut, and color the designs, which made the process both fun and efficient.
 
All SVG files used for these cards were also from Cricut Design Space.
 
Owl Graduation Card

 
The final project I created was an Owl Graduation Card. The original SVG design was actually intended for a writing pad project, but I decided to repurpose the owl element into a graduation-themed card instead.
 
The SVG file for this project came from Dreaming Tree, and I really love how cute and creative the finished card turned out.
 
Final Thoughts
 
These graduation crafts were such a fun collection of projects to work on. I enjoyed experimenting with different techniques like layered paper crafting, draw-and-cut designs, and fabric markers. Graduation season is always a wonderful time to create personalized handmade gifts and decorations, and I’m happy to have added these projects to my crafting journey.

A Handmade Mother’s Day Gift Set with My Cricut Maker 3

For this year’s Mother’s Day, I joined the Cricut Philippines Mother’s Day Craft Challenge with one goal in mind: to create something as thoughtful and special as a mother’s love.

Instead of making just one item, I challenged myself to design a complete handmade gift set; something cohesive, meaningful, and filled with little details that show appreciation.
 
After a few days of crafting, cutting, and assembling, I finally brought my vision to life: a mom cake gift box, a “Happy Mother’s Day” cake topper, a heartfelt card, and a tea holder filled with tea bags, because Mom is simply tea-riffic.


The Inspiration
 
Mothers do so much, often quietly and without expecting anything in return. I wanted this project to reflect appreciation, patience, and gratitude; values that remind me of everything moms represent.
 
Each piece in this set was designed to feel personal and handmade, not just decorative. I wanted it to feel like a gift you’d keep, not just use once and forget.
 
What I Made
 
Mom Cake Gift Box
 
This is the centerpiece of the set, a beautifully crafted box designed to hold small treats. The design is by Dreaming Tree, and at first glance, I honestly felt a bit intimidated to try it. But I’m so glad I did.
To make it my own, I used an embossing folder and Distress Oxide to add texture and color, giving the box a more personalized and elegant finish.


Happy Mother’s Day Cake Topper
 
I actually made this cake topper back in March, and luckily, the colors matched perfectly with this project. Instead of recreating it, I decided to incorporate it into the set, saving time while still keeping everything cohesive.


Mother’s Day Card
 
No gift is complete without a heartfelt message. I created a matching card to tie everything together, using similar colors and patterns for a cohesive look.
 
I had previously shared this design, but since I made two versions of the paper craft, I repurposed one into a card for this set. 


Tea Holder (Tea-riffic Mom!)
 
Lastly, I made a tea holder filled with tea bags. It’s simple, functional, and adds a playful touch to the set.
 
The SVG file is designed by Katie Adams, but I customized it by using only the base structure and adding extra shapes so all sides of the holder feature patterned paper. This small detail helped elevate the overall look and made it feel more complete.





My Crafting Process
 
Using my Cricut Maker 3 made this entire project possible. It allowed me to cut intricate designs cleanly and consistently, which is especially important when working on multiple coordinated pieces.
 
This project took me a few days to finish. From cutting to assembling and adding final details, every step required patience and care. I used techniques like embossing and ink blending to add depth and texture, making each piece feel more premium and handmade.

Crafting Joy: Easy and Adorable Easter Projects with Cricut Maker 3

Easter is fast approaching, and I couldn’t resist diving into some cute and festive craft projects to celebrate the season! There’s something so special about handmade decorations and treat holders; they add a personal touch that store-bought items just can’t match.
 
In this post, I’m sharing a collection of Easter-themed crafts I created using my Cricut Maker 3. From charming treat boxes to delightful cards, these projects are perfect for gifting, decorating, or simply enjoying a creative moment.
 
Easter Bunny Gable Box

After making Christmas gable boxes last year, I bookmarked this Easter Bunny Gable Box design and knew I had to try it when the season came around. Months later, I finally brought it to life! This adorable box is the perfect container for Easter eggs, sweet treats, or tiny trinkets. It’s both functional and festive, great for party favors or thoughtful gifts.



This project is also my entry for Bee Happy Weeklies Week 12: Easter, which made creating it even more fun and meaningful.

Lil' Chickie Favor Bag
 
Another treat holder I made is the Lil’ Chickie Favor Bag. This design features a sweet little chick peeking out of a decorated egg, instantly adding a playful and cheerful vibe. It’s perfect for holding candies, chocolates, or small goodies. If you’re putting together Easter baskets or party giveaways, this one is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Peek-a-Bunny Card

This Peek-a-Bunny Card is such a whimsical piece! It’s a pop-up style card that brings a bunny friend right to the front, creating a fun and interactive experience for the recipient. The layered box card design makes it ideal not just for Easter greetings, but also for spring celebrations, baby showers, or simply sending a little joy to someone special.

The Peek-a-Bunny Card is also designed by Dreaing Tree and available on Creative Fabrica.
 
Easter Coloring Cards

For something a bit more interactive, I also made Easter Coloring Cards. These started as insert cards, but I edited the files and manually cut my own card mat and base to customize them further. The result is a set of cards that can double as a fun coloring activity, perfect for kids (and kids at heart!).


Out of the four designs, my personal favorite is the Easter Bunny Rabbit Card. It has such a charming and classic look that really captures the spirit of Easter.

Peace Be With You Card

I created a more meaningful and faith-centered design: the Peace Be With You card. Instead of using pens, I experimented with a foiling transfer tool, which gave the card a beautiful, elegant finish. Featuring an image of Jesus, this card is perfect for Easter or other Christian celebrations. It’s a simple yet powerful way to share a message of peace and hope.

 
This is also designed by Digital Gems; the design is available on Cricut Design Space, Creative Fabrica, Design Bundles, and her website.

Faith-Filled Easter Cards

I also created three Easter cards, sourcing all designs from Cricut Design Space, and each turned out beautifully unique. 


The first card features a cross surrounded by delicate flowers in a draw-and-cut design, paired with a pastel rainbow glitter cardstock mat to create a soft yet eye-catching shimmer. 


For the second card, I used a charming design of two angels holding an Easter basket, drawn with colorful Cricut pens and enhanced with Distress Oxide. 

The third card also showcases a floral cross design, again drawn with vibrant Cricut pens and finished with Distress Oxide for a subtle, artistic touch, complete with the meaningful message “He is Risen,” making it a heartfelt addition to my Easter collection.

Working on these Easter craft projects has been such a joyful and rewarding experience. Each piece carries its own charm, whether it’s playful, interactive, or deeply meaningful. Using the Cricut Maker 3 made the process smoother and allowed me to bring these ideas to life with precision and creativity.

Mother’s Day Craft Projects: Handmade Cards and Cake Topper Ideas

There are still two months to go before we celebrate Mother’s Day, but since the holiday is observed on different dates around the world, I thought it would be a good time to share some of my recent Mother’s Day craft projects.
 
Handmade cards and decorations are always meaningful because they add a personal touch to the celebration. Here are some of the projects I created using my cutting machine, stamps, and craft supplies.
 
Bee Mother’s Day Card


I found the Bee Mother’s Day Card design on Cricut Design Space, but I only used the file to cut the card base and the daisy flowers.
 
For the bees, I used my die-cutting machine, and I embossed the fence for extra texture. I also applied Sizzix Pearlescent Medium to the daisy flowers and the fence to give them a subtle shimmer.
 
For the sentiments, I used Lawn Fawn stamps.
 
This is the card that I made for my mom. I only shared the photo last month since she will be going home soon, so I didn’t need to ship the card.
  
Happy Mother’s Day Floral Card

 
The design of this card is also from Cricut Design Space. Instead of using it as an insert card, I edited the file and converted the elements into a drawing design.
 
I used my Cricut pen to draw the design and then colored it using Ohuhu glitter markers, which added a beautiful sparkle to the floral illustration.
 
Mother’s Day Card

 
I really liked the design of this card, so I recreated it in my own way. Instead of using the print-then-cut feature, I used my Cricut pen to draw the illustration of a baby holding a mother’s finger along with the sentiment.
 
The quote on the card reads: “Mothers hold their children’s hands for a while, but their hearts forever.”
 
Mom Layered Floral Card


This project is also from Cricut Design Space. I edited the layers and resized the design so it would be easier to assemble.
 
Since the card has many layers, it turned out quite thick and heavy, but the dimensional effect makes the finished card look beautiful and detailed.
 
Mother’s Day Cake Toppers


These cake topper designs are from Bearly Art and have been on my project list for the longest time. I’m happy that I was finally able to make them.
 
I plan to use one of these as my cake topper this coming May. I’m still deciding between the Mother and Baby design and the Mother and Son version.
 
Chloe Greeting Card


The Chloe Greeting Card is designed by Dreaming Tree. This design is perfect for a soon-to-be mom and works beautifully for Mother’s Day, baby showers, or similar occasions.
 
For this card, I also used the print-then-cut feature for the message using the Baby in the Womb design from Cricut Design Space.

 
The message reads: This Mother's Day, I am snug in your tummy. But next Mother's Day,
I'll be in your arms. I can't wait to be with you.

Happy Mother’s Day Cake Topper

 
This topper features a layered design with a floral accent and the phrase “Happy Mother’s Day.”
 
I created the topper using three layers of cardstock cut with my Cricut Maker 3. Layering different cardstock colors helps the text and flower design stand out and gives the topper a dimensional look that’s perfect for decorating a cake or dessert table.
 
The design was cut from an SVG file from DIY Craft Tutorials, which works perfectly for layered paper crafts.

Floral Mother's Day Card


I created three floral Mother’s Day cards. The designs were sourced from Cricut Design Space and made using a draw-and-cut technique, which gave each card a beautifully detailed and precise look. I colored the floral elements using Ohuhu markers, adding soft blends and vibrant touches to bring the designs to life. To give the cards a bit of extra sparkle and elegance, I paired them with glitter cardstock for the card mats. Each piece turned out uniquely charming, and it was such a fun and relaxing project to work on.
 
Creating handmade crafts like these is a wonderful way to celebrate mothers and make the occasion even more special.

Handmade Birthday Craft Ideas: Cake Toppers, Chip Bags, and Cards

Celebrating birthdays becomes even more special when you add a personal, handmade touch. I love creating small craft projects for family and friends because they make each celebration feel more thoughtful and unique. Recently, I worked on a few birthday-themed craft projects that were fun to make and perfect for gifting.
 
Here are some of the birthday crafts I created.
 
Birthday Cake Topper – 21st Birthday

For my nephew’s 21st birthday, I decided to make a custom cake topper. A handmade topper adds a special touch to any birthday cake and makes the celebration feel more personalized.


This design is from Cricut Design Space.  It was simple but elegant, and it made the cake look extra festive. Projects like this are quick to make but can make a big impact on the party table.
 
Birthday Chip Bag
 
Another fun project I made was a birthday chip bag for my friend. Custom chip bags are great for party favors, snack tables, or even small gifts, and they’re surprisingly easy to create.

 
For this design, I used my favorite Bear Birthday Party Clipart, which gave the chip bag a cute and playful look. Personalized snack packaging is always a fun addition to any birthday celebration.
 
Bee Birthday Card
 
I also created a bee-themed birthday card. I originally found the design in Cricut Design Space and edited the file so I could turn it into a greeting card.


The bee design was cheerful and perfect for a birthday greeting. Sometimes, a small edit to an existing design can turn it into something completely new and useful.
 
Happy Birthday Pop-Up Box Card
 
One of my favorite projects was a Happy Birthday pop-up box card. This design also came from Cricut Design Space.

 
I made this card for my mom because she loves flowers. The pop-up design makes the card extra special because it opens into a beautiful display instead of a traditional flat card. It’s a wonderful keepsake that can be displayed long after the birthday celebration.
 
Final Thoughts
 
Handmade birthday crafts are a great way to show people you care. Whether it’s a cake topper, a customized chip bag, or a unique pop-up card, these small projects can make birthdays even more memorable.
 
I always enjoy experimenting with different designs and personalizing each project depending on who I’m making it for. Crafting for birthdays is not only fun but also a meaningful way to celebrate the special people in our lives.

Gnome Craft Countdown 2026

The Gnome Craft Countdown by Craft with Sarah has wrapped up for 2026, and this was already the fourth time I joined the event. Over the years, I’ve collected quite a large number of gnome paper craft designs, and I’ve even donated some of the finished projects.
 
Since I’m currently busy with other craft projects, I decided to be more selective this year and only make the gnomes that I really liked. For this countdown, I submitted two projects as my entry:

Valentine’s Day Card Creations

The last week of January is officially here, which means it’s time to start crafting for Valentine’s Day! Handmade cards are one of my favorite ways to share love, and this year I had so much fun creating a variety of Valentine’s Day cards using SVG files from Dreaming Tree, Digital Gems, and Cricut Design Space.
 
Each card has its own personality, from sweet and cuddly to playful and fun. Here’s a look at the designs I worked with this season.
 
Hug Me Valentine Card


This adorable card is all about cozy Valentine vibes. It’s perfect for kids, friends, or anyone who deserves a big hug this Valentine’s Day. I added a fun interactive touch by using wobble spring adhesive for the heart, which gives the card extra movement and charm.
 

 
The Foxy Valentine Card is playful and charming, making it a great choice for someone who appreciates fun, whimsical designs. This card is sure to bring a smile with its cute fox theme and layered details.
 
Fox Love Card


Another fox-themed favorite! This layered design from Digital Gems is perfect for adding dimension and visual interest. It cuts beautifully and looks amazing once assembled, making it a standout Valentine card.
  
Heart Card

 
You can never go wrong with a classic heart-themed Valentine card. This design is simple, elegant, and versatile, perfect for customizing with different colors, patterns, or sentiments. The design is from Cricut Design Space, but I used my die-cutting machine to create the card sentiments.
 
Love You Card

 
Sometimes less is more. The Love You Card is clean, sweet, and straight to the point, making it a wonderful option for a spouse, partner, or close family member. I used the draw function and colored the design with Ohuhu glitter markers, adding just the right amount of sparkle.

Donut Card


I donut know what I'd do without you. Because Valentine’s Day is better with puns (and donuts). This design is from Cricut Design Space. 
 
Creating Valentine’s Day cards is such a fun way to get ahead on holiday crafting, and these SVG files made the process easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re crafting for loved ones, classrooms, or even craft fairs, these designs are sure to spread a little extra love this Valentine’s Day.
