Iron-On Vinyl Projects You’ll Love

I recently had a blast creating some iron-on vinyl projects using my Cricut Maker 3, a variety of iron-on vinyl, and printable iron-on sheets. From shirts to tote bags, these projects were a fun way to bring my favorite designs to life. Here’s a peek at what I made and how I used my materials.

Fun Valentine’s Shirts

I love taking SVG designs and turning them into wearable art. Two of my favorites.

Valentine’s Day projects started as hand-lettered printable quote SVGs from Kitaleigh:

You Rule Valentine

Originally a Slap Bracelet Valentine design, I adapted this SVG for a shirt. The bold lettering and playful style made it perfect for a fun Valentine’s look.

You and Me

This Ring Dish Valentine design also transformed beautifully into a shirt. I loved how the hand-lettered quote looked on fabric; it really pops!

Next, I explored some of the amazing ready-made designs available in Cricut Design Space. These were quick to make and perfect for testing different vinyl types:

Tips for Iron-On Success

Cricut Maker 3 makes cutting iron-on vinyl a breeze. Just make sure you mirror your design for shirts and fabrics.
Printable iron-on vinyl is perfect for intricate designs or images with multiple colors.
Take your time pressing; different materials need different heat settings, so always check the instructions for your vinyl.

Creating with iron-on vinyl is such a satisfying way to make personalized gifts, custom apparel, and fun craft projects. Whether you stick to classic vinyl or experiment with printable iron-on, the possibilities are endless!

Valentine’s Day Card Creations

The last week of January is officially here, which means it’s time to start crafting for Valentine’s Day! Handmade cards are one of my favorite ways to share love, and this year I had so much fun creating a variety of Valentine’s Day cards using SVG files from Dreaming Tree, Digital Gems, and Cricut Design Space.

Each card has its own personality, from sweet and cuddly to playful and fun. Here’s a look at the designs I worked with this season.

Hug Me Valentine Card

This adorable card is all about cozy Valentine vibes. It’s perfect for kids, friends, or anyone who deserves a big hug this Valentine’s Day. I added a fun interactive touch by using wobble spring adhesive for the heart, which gives the card extra movement and charm.

Foxy Valentine Card

The Foxy Valentine Card is playful and charming, making it a great choice for someone who appreciates fun, whimsical designs. This card is sure to bring a smile with its cute fox theme and layered details.

Fox Love Card

Another fox-themed favorite! This layered design from Digital Gems is perfect for adding dimension and visual interest. It cuts beautifully and looks amazing once assembled, making it a standout Valentine card.

Heart Card

You can never go wrong with a classic heart-themed Valentine card. This design is simple, elegant, and versatile, perfect for customizing with different colors, patterns, or sentiments. The design is from Cricut Design Space, but I used my die-cutting machine to create the card sentiments.

Love You Card

Sometimes less is more. The Love You Card is clean, sweet, and straight to the point, making it a wonderful option for a spouse, partner, or close family member. I used the draw function and colored the design with Ohuhu glitter markers, adding just the right amount of sparkle.

Donut Card

I donut know what I'd do without you. Because Valentine’s Day is better with puns (and donuts). This design is from Cricut Design Space.

Creating Valentine’s Day cards is such a fun way to get ahead on holiday crafting, and these SVG files made the process easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re crafting for loved ones, classrooms, or even craft fairs, these designs are sure to spread a little extra love this Valentine’s Day.

Decluttering, Rediscovering, and Finally Using My Cricut Foil Transfer Kit

January decluttering led me to finally unbox my Cricut Foil Transfer Kit after four years and create simple, joyful foiled cards using my Cricut Maker 3.

January always feels like a fresh start for me, the perfect time to declutter, reset, and rediscover the things I love. This year, I decided to focus on organizing my crafting supplies, and while doing so, I realized something important: I have so many tools and materials that I’ve been saving “for someday.” Still boxed, still unused, quietly waiting.

That realization led to one of my crafting goals for the year, to finally unbox and use the tools I’ve been holding onto for far too long.

Unboxing a Tool I’ve Had for Four Years

One of those tools was my Cricut Foil Transfer Kit, which I’ve owned for four years and had never opened. Yes, four years! When I finally unboxed it, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it already came with sample foil sheets. That small detail felt like a little sign; there was no more reason to wait. Now is the time.

Using my Cricut Maker 3, I browsed through my saved files and explored Cricut Design Space, looking for designs that would be perfect for foiling. I didn’t overthink it. I just wanted to play, experiment, and finally create.

Simple Cards, Big Joy

I ended up making two simple cards:

A Champagne Toast card, perfect for New Year celebrations, anniversaries, or any joyful milestone. This design is from Cricut Design Space.

A Valentine card, originally an insert greeting card design by Digital Gems, which I adapted and turned into a foiling project.

The projects themselves were simple, but the experience meant so much more. Finally seeing the foiled designs come to life reminded me why I love crafting. It’s not about perfection or complexity, it’s about the joy of creating freely, with intention and happiness.

Coloring Handmade Cards for Every Occasion

Handmade cards hold a special charm that printed ones often can't match, especially when they're colored with love and care. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, coloring cards for different occasions is one way to add a personal touch to your greeting cards.

So even though I'm not very good at coloring, I truly enjoy adding color to my handmade cards. There's something special about watching a simple design come to life with just a few strokes of color. Even if my shading or blending isn't perfect, the process itself feels relaxing and creative. That’s why I’ve ended up making a lot of cards over time!

Last year, I turned my Teachers’ Appreciation Cards SVG files into coloring cards because I wanted to use my Ohuhu markers. I enjoyed the process so much that, ever since then, whenever I come across an insert card design, I try to convert it into a coloring card.

Just this month, I blogged about one of my latest projects: a DIY Gnome Birthday Card over at the Printable Cuttable Creatables website. In that post, I shared how I made three different cards using Gnome Birthday Insert Card SVG File.

After finishing that project, I was inspired to download more insert card designs from the Printable Cuttable Creatables website—and I ended up making eight more cards for different occasions!

Coloring handmade cards is not about being perfect, so don’t worry about your skill level—just enjoy the process and let your creativity shine. After all, it's the effort and love behind each stroke that truly makes a card special.

Valentine Craft Projects

I still have a long list of Valentine Craft Projects that I want to do pero ilang araw na lang pala Valentine’s Day na so I guess, next year na lang ulit yung iba.

I’m sharing the different craft projects that I made for the past few weeks.

Valentine Bookmark Crayon Holders

When my son was still in his toddler years, I always saw this type of craft project, and this is a nice birthday giveaway or gifts for friends or classmates that won’t hurt your budget. I wanted to do this for a long time, but I don’t have the machine or tools.

Even though my son is no longer a kid, I still purchased the Valentine Bookmark Crayon Holders SVG file. Actually, I had this file for three years already, and now ko lang nagawa.

This is another Valentine Crayon Holder but I can’t remember where I got the file.

Cute Penguin Valentine Card

This Cute Penguin Valentine Card is from Jen Goode, I got the file from one of the summits I joined but if you have a Cricut Access Subscription, you can recreate the project.

Valentine’s Gift Layered Card - Love

This file is from The Bearded Housewife’s Made with Love Summit 2024. I plan to use this as a cake topper.

Valentine Teddy Bear Heart Box

I mentioned before that I would recreate the Valentine Teddy Bears using a different cardstock. This is better compared to my first project. I used this to decorate my Heart Box.

Valentine Truck

The Valentine Truck is from Craft with Sarah, you can use this as a cake topper, tag or decorate your card.

Flower Pot Valentine Card

The truck layered craft collection is already over and Craft with Sarah has started her new collection. And so far, she has two flower pot designs but I only cut the Flower Pot Valentine Card and used it to decorate my Valentine's Card.

Butterflies and Flowers Card

I made this Butterflies and Flowers Card last year but I think I can also use this as a Valentine's Card or Anniversary Card.

Will You Be My Player 2?

This Gamer Card was my entry for Bee Happy Weeklies Week 46: Pixel. I made this last year but I can also use this for Valentine’s Card.

I printed the design, attached it to the cardstock, and glued my Layered Male and Female Gamer Gnomes. The Gamer Gnomes are from Craft with Sarah.

Cupid

This cupid is designed by Craft with Sarah.

3D Valentine Gnomes

I had a hard time cutting the dress of the 3D Valentine Gnomes but I didn’t want to waste more paper so I still assembled them even though the cut was not perfect.

Valentine Layered Card

When I had my Cricut Maker, my family stopped buying cards, so if they needed one, they could just get it from my stash. Kahit na ako pa yung bibigyan nila ng card, ang importante naman yung message na isusulat so I don’t mind receiving my own homemade cards. February is also our wedding anniversary month, so I made a lot of cards for more options.

All of Me Loves All of You Tent Card

The All of Me Loves All of You Tent Card is from My 3D SVG site. This is a shadow box, but I used it for a tent card to display on my computer table.

The following four cards are designed by Craft with Sarah. I uploaded all the SVG files to Cricut Design Space, changed a few colors, and cut.

Valentine Coloring Cards

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so it is time to make cards. Insert card was my favorite project when I started to explore my Cricut Maker. I can no longer count how many insert cards I made over the past few years.

But now, I am into coloring and converting my insert cards into coloring cards. I started doing this last year when I made my Teacher’s Appreciation Cards and Christmas Cards.

A few years ago, I purchased the Butterfly and Flower Card Bundle but if you have a Cricut Access Subscription, these designs are available on Cricut Design Space. I shared them on my profile, just in case you want to recreate them.
