Father’s Day Getaway at Ybonita Farm and Villas

Last year, we only watched a movie to celebrate Father’s Day; this year, we had two celebrations. First, we had Fishing at Caylabne Bay Resort with my in-laws, and for my family, we had a Staycation at Ybonita Farm and Villas.

Actually, when we were at the Palm Beach Resort, we already discussed this trip and the only question lang is, saan kami pupunta? So in our family group chat, we are just sending suggestions, and I suggested the Ybonita Farm and Villas. It just so happened na lumabas siya sa newsfeed ko, and I saw their Group Getaway Promo. And nagkasabay pa nga kami ng sister-in-law na nag-inquire about the promo.

Group Getaway Promo for PHP36,999

Overnight stay at Yvatan Villa
Sandbar Tour (Balsa rental fee only) Balsa Entrance fee, Balsa Parking Fee not included
Binalot Lunch for 10 pax (Boodle Bilao)
Dinner Set Meal
Bonfire and S'mores Kit
Plated Filipino Breakfast (Special Homemade Longganisa, Danggit, Egg, Fried Rice, and Freshly brewed Kapeng Barako)

Additional person is PHP2,800.

For our family outing, we usually book a resort or private pool, so I told them, parang okay na rin yung package since may Sandbar Tour and Bonfire. There is also a free animal feeding activity at the resort. We’ve been to different farms na rin, and I already blogged about them except the South Farm in Panglao, Bohol. I will share about it when I post our 4 Days in Bohol series. Ybonita Farm and Villa is the recent farm that we visited.

South Farm Panglao Bohol

We booked this promo for 11 people, and to confirm the booking, full payment is required within 24 hours. They also added an Ecology Fee of PHP30 per person. I sent my proof of payment and valid ID. When we visited Nawa Wellness Calatagan, sa kiosk kami nagbayad ng Ecoclogy Fee.

Three days before our trip, I sent them the guest list, our preferred schedule for activities, and the menu for lunch and dinner.

Sand Bar Tour - 10AM
Animal Feeding 4-5PM
Dinner - 6-7PM
Bonfire - 7:30 - 9PM
Breakfast - 8AM
Secret Garden Slot - 8-10AM

Our first activity is Sand Bar Tour, so I told them that we would arrive between 10-11AM. The first group arrived before 10AM, and we arrived after 10AM. My mom told me na nakalagay na daw sa van nila yung lunch, so in my mind, wow, on time sila.

Sandbar Tour 9-3PM

One staff member guided us to our Sand Bar Tour. We arrived at the Hava Resort. We paid PHP50 per person for the entrance fee + PHP100 parking fee per car. Upon arrival, we filled out the Balsa Manifest Form, and after several minutes, off we went to our Balsa. The balsa has a life vest for each person.

Sandbar Tour Rate:
PHP4,500 for 10 persons
PHP350 extra person

On our way to the sand bar, we had lunch na rin kasi 11AM na, and we were a little bit disappointed when we saw the food. We paid for 11 people, but they only prepared for 10 people. Sa amin pa lang kulang na yung rice, drinks and utensils, paano pa kami makapagshare ng food sa boatmen. Good thing na may dalawang pack yung Ensaladang Mangga, and I brought cake so may nashare kami na food sa kanila. Actually, the vegetable on my invoice is Pinakbet, so I was surprised when I saw Ensaladang Mangga.

Boodle Lunch (PHP650 per person): Chicken Adobo or Grilled Liempo, Pinakbet, Grilled Fish, Rice, Dessert, Drinks

If ever you avail this package, make sure to bring your extra utensils, paper plates, or if you want na magkamay, yung disposable gloves. Wala din kasi serving spoon yung packed food nila. I was thankful that we had paper towels and wet wipes na dala.

Moving on, after eating, we started swimming na. I had no idea na ito pala yung Little Boracay in Calatagan na popular online. It was funny because hanggang dito marami nagtitinda ng food, drinks and souvenirs. We only stayed for 2 hours and went back to the resort for check-in.

Upon arrival, the staff directed us to our villa. They allowed us to check in 20 minutes before 2PM. I already submitted our guest list online and ID, pero pinasulat ulit sa logbook nung staff, and picture of my valid ID.

Yvatan Villa

Here is the Ybatan Villa, inspired by the houses in Batanes. We’ve been to Batanes na rin, so may similarities nga yung design. There is a water dispenser, a TV, a radio for communication, and wifi. The rate is PHP 21,505 for overnight.

We checked the towels and toiletries, and kulang ulit, so we requested for towel and pinarefill namin yung empty shampoo and body wash. After that, I messaged them to inform them that we paid for 11 people and only received food for 10 people. We received an apology and were given two options, one is a refund, and the second choice is to add items na lang daw.

I chose add items na lang pero I am not sure kung may na-add ba na extra pansit and smores kit since may pansit canton naman kami talaga sa menu and hindi ko rin alam kung ilang smores kit ba ang binibigay sa group getaway promo nila. Also, there is free wifi but it is not working and ilang beses na nila inayos pero magkakaroon saglit then mawawala ulit. So yung movie bonding na mga pamangkin ko, hindi na nangyari.

Animal Feeding

Animal Feeding is at 4PM and is free of charge.

Dinner Set Menu

We always eat early dinner, so we expected na 6PM talaga yung dinner since may bonfire kami na 7:30PM, but we started eating na past 7PM. Our menu is Bulalo, Kaldereta, Crispy Pata, Buttered Shrimp, Pancit Canton, Rice, Soda, and Leche Flan.

Slow yung service because the staff travel from the kitchen to our villa back and forth, hindi ito malapit ha. So sana may transport service yung staff para hindi sila hirap magpabalik-balik.

Bonfire and Smores

After dinner, we informed them about our bonfire, and the staff advised us na sabihan na lang daw kami kapag ready na. We started our bonfire at 8:30PM, so we have marshmallows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers. Quiet hours are from 10PM to 6AM, so we only have less than 2 hours to enjoy the experience. 2 Smores Kit yung nareceived namin.

PHP450 - Bonfire with Smores Kit (good for 3 pax)

Breakfast

Breakfast is 8AM, and we’re thankful that it was on time. We had longganisa, danggit, egg, fried rice with coffee or juice.

Secret Garden Pool

Yvatan Villa has no private pool, but we can visit the Secret Garden to try their dipping pool. Lulubog ka lang talaga. Hehehe! We only stayed until 10AM so we could check out early.

Overall, we still enjoyed our Father’s Getaway at Ybonita Farm and Villa. Kahit kulang yung food and late nagstart yung dinner and activities kasi mabait naman ang mga staff and masarap ang food. Memorable yung Balsa and Bonfire experience.

Mother’s Day Getaway at Palm Beach Resort

A few days after our Taiwan Trip, my mom was itching to travel, and she wanted to have a family outing again, but this time beach naman. So we started to look for beach resorts in Batangas and Subic, but most of the resorts that we checked were fully booked, and some resorts naman, do not offer full board meals.

So I suggested the Palm Beach Resort, and fortunately, they have available rooms for us. My sister-in-law was the one who booked the resort and full payment agad at the time of booking.

We booked 3 Casa Blanca Rooms with pool and sea view, the rate of the Premier Room is PHP10,500, and the De Luxe Room is PHP10,000. These rooms are good for 4 people. For 11 persons, the total expense for rooms is PHP31,000.

Inclusions:
Welcome drinks
Room accommodation
Unlimited purified drinking water and Batangas-brewed coffee.
Use of resort facilities: beach, infinity pool and jacuzzi.
Complimentary wireless internet in designated areas

Full Board Meals is PHP2,200 per person. This includes buffet lunch, PM snack, dinner, and breakfast with bottomless juice during meals.

Meal Schedule

Lunch: 12:00 - 2:00PM
PM Snack: 3:30 - 4:30PM
Dinner: 7:00 - 9:00PM
Breakfast: 7:00 - 9:00PM

For the driver, we paid an additional PHP2,200 for the driver’s quarter and packed meals.

Check-in time is 2PM, but we still left early to avoid the traffic. My immediate family arrived past 10AM, and my family arrived past 11AM. Upon arrival, may nag-assist na agad sa amin sa parking so nahatid na agad kami sa reception.

At the reception, the staff asked for the Tourism Fee Receipt (PHP50 per person) and informed us about the meal schedules, and she just said na nasa Cabana na yung mga kasama namin. We stayed at the Cabana while waiting for lunch and rooms. My sister-in-law asked if binigyan ba kami ng welcome drinks, waah! Nakalimutan kami bigyan so we went back to the reception to get our drinks, buti na lang malapit lang ang reception.

Usually, the first meal is PM Snack, but we requested na lunch yung una just like our first visit. Lunchtime is 12NN, so we went to the dining pavilion before 12NN, but we were surprised kasi late na pala kami, actually paubos na yung ibang food nung dumating kami, so wala kami maayos na picture ng buffet spread, so I will just share the menu.

Palm Beach Resort Menu

Lunch: Molo Soup, Steamed Pandan Rice, Asian Vegetables, Bam-I, Sweet and Sour Fish, Chicken Inasal, Pork Adobo, Cassava cake, Seasonal Fruits, Iced Tea, and Brewed Coffee or Tea.
PM Snack: Palmbeach Lomi, Spanish Bread, Turon with Caramel Sauce, Lychee Juice, and Brewed Coffee or Tea.
Dinner: Minced Pork Soup, Fresh Garden Salad, Steamed Pandan Rice, Alfredo Pasta, Amatriciana Pasta, Fish Teriyaki, Chicken Pastel, Lechon Kawali, Buko Salad, Chocolate Revel Bar, Seasonal Fruits, Cucumber Juice, and Brewed Coffee or Tea.
Breakfast: Champorado with Dilis, Homemade Spreads, Freshly Baked Breads, Steamed Pandan Rice, Scrambled Eggs, Boiled Eggs, Daing na Bangus, Pork Longganisa, Corned Beef, Seasonal Fruits, Pineapple Juice, and Brewed Coffee or Tea.

I am not sure kung hindi pa sila nainformed na lunch ang start ng meal namin kasi wala kaming pwesto pa so naghanap ulit kami ng pwesto, Nag-improve na nung PM Snack kasi may reserved table na for our group. Also, mas marami na yung food choices compared sa first visit namin.

Casa Blanca Rooms

Check-in is 2PM, and they gave us the keys 15 minutes before 2PM.

Premier Room

Compared to Casa Isabel, our rooms are much better. It is spacious; there is a sofa bed, a separate shower, sink, and toilet.

The staff will inform you kung ano yung laman ng room and ask you to sign the paper so that if ever may nawala, you need to pay for it. They always check the room upon check-out.

Shampoo, Body Wash, Hand Soap, Dental kit are provided. When it comes to towels, hand towel and face towel, nagtataka lang ako bakit hindi good for four 4 persons lahat. We only have 4 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 face towels.

Deluxe Room

The only difference ng Premier Room and Deluxe Room is walang sofa bed. Compared to our first visit, okay ang rooms namin; may hot and cold shower, and malamig ang aircon. There is complimentary bottled water.

No more complimentary use of aqua shoes, but you can buy, PHP500 for a pair of aqua shoes. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend getaway; we ate, swam, and slept.

Upon check out, we were surprised because the resort gave us a Mother’s Day Gift. Early check out kami para maaga din makauwi.

Anniversary Staycation at La Chevrerie Resort & Spa

How quickly time passes and it is more than a year since we visited La Chevrerie Resort. So before I blog about Nawa Wellness Resort, I will share our anniversary staycation first at La Chevrerie Resort & Spa. This is the fourth resort we have tried in Anilao, Batangas; the first three resorts are Vivere Azure, Lilom Resort, and Solana Resort

La Chevrerie Resort & Spa is a 5-star resort in Anilao, Batangas, offering 13 rooms only to ensure privacy and exclusivity. And as expected the rate is expensive even though we took advantage of their promo. Don't forget that the “Discount is only offered to direct bookings via email or phone with the resort.” The Deluxe Room is PHP12,000 per night for 2 persons and an additional person is PHP4,000.

PHP10,800 - discounted rate
PHP4,000 - additional person

My husband booked our room, a week before our stay, and full payment is required to reserve. We paid PHP14,800 via bank transfer and this rate only includes the following.

* Accommodation in an air-conditioned room.
* Welcome drinks.
* Complimentary Set Breakfast for 3 pax.
* Use of resort facilities (pool, bar and restaurant).
* Privilege of Happy Hour every day from 5-7PM (50% OFF on all Alcoholic Drinks except Wines)

For me, based on the rate, the price is already expensive since it only includes room, welcome drinks, and a set of breakfasts so I was really surprised na may bayad pa ang kanilang life vest. Sa tagal na namin nagtratravel, this is the first time na naencounter namin na may bayad ang life vest. It is PHP150 per day/per vest and we rented 2 life vests.

Staycation at La Chevrerie Resort & Spa

Moving on, let me start reminiscing about our trip. Check-in time was 2PM so we had lunch before going to the resort but arrived before 1PM. You need to ring the doorbell because the gate is closed. After we parked our car, the staff was already there waiting for us and he helped us with our hand-carry luggage.

Compared to the first 3 resorts that we have visited, hindi nakakapagod dito sa La Chevrerie Resort. You will reach the reception and your room in a few minutes, walang feeling na naghiking ka. Hehehe!

At the reception, we filled out a form and the staff informed us where the restaurant and spa were and the happy hour, dinner, and breakfast schedule.

5-7PM - Happy Hour
7AM - start of breakfast
8:30PM - restaurant closing time

It was not yet 2 PM so we stayed at the pool area while waiting for check-in time. The staff served our welcome drinks at the pool area which is calamansi juice.

Deluxe Room

Around 2PM, the staff gave us our key and we just went to our room. We booked a deluxe room which is 43sqm so it is spacious. The room has its own veranda and we have a pool view and a 270-degree sea view.

The room smells fresh and looks clean. There was a complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate, and water but no teaspoon or stirrer so my husband went to the restaurant to ask for teaspoons.

Bathroom

Since the rate is expensive I was expecting na pang 5-star din ang mga toiletries but it was not. Although, they have a nice set of cleansing gel and shampoo but no lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste na usually meron sa mga 5-star hotel or resort. No bidet too.

Pool

What you see on their website is what you get. This pool is just a few steps from our room. The disadvantage of staying near the pool is the noise. During our stay, ang ingay ng mga kids na nag-night swimming and inorasan ko talaga, 9:20PM na sila tumahimik. If the restaurant has a closing time, I hope maaga din sa pool.

Also, 5-star resort but I don’t see any pool towels and I have no idea where to get one since there is no staff near the pool. I did not bother to ask for one, buti na lang malapit lang kami sa room. Since there are only a few guests during our stay, hindi mo mafifeel na crowded. Ewan ko na lang kapag fully booked.

Beach

Medyo malayo yung katabing resort ng La Chevrerie Resort so even at the beach, may privacy ang guests.

Aside from the swimming pool and beach, La Chevrerie Resort & Spa has a gym room, playroom, and dive center. They also offer other activities like snorkeling & BBQ lunch on the beach, kayaking, fishing, mountain trekking, and spa.

Food Trip at L’Atelier

We only stayed for one night so we only had dinner and breakfast. This is our favorite spot at the restaurant because of the view.

Dinner

For our dinner, we ordered Tonkatsu PHP480, BBQ Chicken Satay PHP280, Clay Pot Seafood Yee Mee PHP480, Rice and Soda PHP80. We also ordered one round of alcoholic drinks, nakalimutan ko na kung ano inorder namin, basta one beer, and one cocktail by the glass. Uminom for our anniversary celebration. Hehehe!

Breakfast

The breakfast is already included in our package and there are 3 choices, L’Atelier Breakfast Set, Asian Breakfast Set, and Filipino Breakfast Set so we ordered all the sets.

L’Atelier Breakfast Set: Homemade bread with butter, Nutella, honey, and strawberry jam + Mixed Cereals with full milk or skim milk

Asian Breakfast Set: Chicken congee and fried egg noodles with pork and green chive

Filipino Breakfast Set: Filipino Pork Tapa, Bangus, or Longganisa with Jasmine plain rice.

Then each breakfast set includes the following:

Assorted seasonal fruits
A choice of crepe, egg waffle, Belgian waffle, or eggs (boiled, scrambled,d or sunny side up) with ham
A choice of orange juice or apple juice
Brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or soya milk

Overall, we still enjoyed our short staycation at the resort because it was not crowded. So if you want privacy, you can add this resort to your option.
