Dry, cracked, or chapped lips is my common dilemma since I was young so I seldom wear lipstick because it doesn’t look good on my chapped lips. I prefer to put lip balm on my lips to keep it moisturize but to be honest, I am also lazy in applying it especially now that I’m just stuck at home. I know that in order to avoid cracked lips, we need to exfoliate, hydrate and moisturize our lips.

I ordered old favorites and new K-Beauty products, this is already my 3rd bottle of Skin & Lab Dr. Vita Clinic White Vita-C Essence and Boomdeahdah Rose Body Lotion.


I am currently using The Saem Saemmul Cream Stick Blusher (Coral) and I love this so I bought the Rose variant. It adds natural shine on your face. I also love the smell of this cream stick blusher.


Innisfree is one of the popular brands in Korean Beauty Products but the price is not cheap but since I have shopping credits, I bought Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact, Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Cream EX, and Innisfree Daily UV Protection Cream No Sebum SPF35 PA+++.

The Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact has only white color so ending mukha ko geisha pag ginamit ko but I still use it, very light na lang ang lagay para di sobrang puti ng face ko.

The Innisfree Daily UV Protection Cream is not sticky but I don’t like the smell of this, maybe because of the packaging, parang may amoy plastic. It makes my skin a little lighter so I need to put it on my neck para pantay kulay.

The Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Cream Ex is a moisturizer that contains green tea from Jeju island. It is lightweight cream, not sticky and easily absorbs into the skin. I like the green tea smell and it makes my skin hydrated, soft and dewy. It also prevent moisture loss. The only thing I dislike, it makes my skin oily, I'm not sure if it is because of the weather.




I’ve been meaning to buy Laneige beauty products because I always see this brand in some Korean Drama series that I’ve watched. I only have Laneige Toner Pack which is part of my Althea Lazy Sunday Box. This brand is so expensive so I was hesitant to try but since it is my birthday month, pikit mata ko na lang binili. I’ve been using this Laneige Water Sleeping Mask since last month and I love it, sulit naman siya because it will last for a long time. You can only use this twice or thrice a week. If you want “I woke up like this” look, gamitin mo ito. Hehehe! I will try their other products if I have extra budget.


I’m not really into make-up products but I bought Marine Blue Make-up Brush Set because I realized that I only have one make-up brush at home. So I’m investing on this brush so I can learn how to apply makeup but first, aalamin ko muna kung paano gamitin yung brush.


I always use cotton pads so I bought Natural Pure Cotton but this one is so thin, mas prefer ko yung nabibili sa supermarket. I haven’t used these products pa so I will just update my post next time. Two months ago, I finally purchased my first order at Althea Korea site. Althea Korea has celebrated its two years anniversary but I just recently tried it. As usual, when it comes to online shopping, I’m always late to try. Read my first shopping experience here.

I ordered Althea Korea Head to Toe Box, the price is P4902 but I got it for P1487, that is 69% off. The box includes products that you can use from head to toes such as shampoo, hair treatment, scalp cooling hair pack, eyeshadow, body scrub, underarm scrub, vitamin C essence and foot peeling pack.


Most of the products have no English Instructions but you can check their site for directions or just read below.


1. Mise-En-Scene Perfect Serum Shampoo and Treatment 

Trade frizz and dryness in for silky sleekness with this duo that’s infused with a perfecting 7x oil blend and microproteins.


How to use Mise-En-Scene Perfect Serum Shampoo

1. Dampen the hair, then lather with the shampoo and massage before rinsing off.

I like the smell of this shampoo, the smell really lasts longer. It makes my hair soft, smooth and shiny even without using conditioner. I’m not fond of using separate conditioner so I prefer shampoo with conditioner or just shampoo.

How to use Mise-En-Scene Treatment 

1. After shampoo, take dime-sized amount of the treatment.
2.Apply to the ends of your hair and leave it for 3-5 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
- you can use hair cap to seal in the treatment. Leave in for half an hour and rinse.
- for intensive treatment, wrap the hair around with hot towel for the treatment to absorb better. Leave for few minutes and rinse.

I only used this once a week

2. Nature Republic Olive Scalp Cooling Hair Pack 

It contains peppermint leaves and olive concentration. It nourishes the scalp and makes the hair healthy and refreshed.


How to use Nature Republic Olive Scalp Cooling Hair Pack 

1. After shampoo, dispense quarter-sized amount onto your palm.
2. Apply on the scalp with your fingertips and massage thoroughly.
3. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes or depending on the condition of the scalp.
4. Then Wash with lukewarm water.

It’s been years since the last time I hot oil my hair. I only buy hot oil treatment and put it on my hair. But this was my first time trying cooling hair pack. The Nature Republic Olive Scalp Cooling Hair Pack live up to its name because it really cools, refresh our scalp and hair. And because of that cooling effect, pinatagal ko pa ng 20 minutes before I rinse it. I also let my husband and son use it, feel na feel ng anak ko yung lamig so enjoy siya.

3. Skin & Lab White Vita-C Essence 

It will brighten the dull skin tone, gives moisturizing benefits and whitens the skin. The main ingredients are green tea seed oil for whitening, sea buckthorn oil for soothing, spider silk protein for vitalizing and ethyl ascorbyl ether- vitamin C.

Recommended for dull skin, dark skin tone, uneven skin tone or for those who want to have total care for the skin.

It has a pump so it is so easy to use.  I like this product because it really brigthens my face. My husband noticed it after few days of using it.

How to use Skin & Lab White Vita-C Essence:

After toner, apply a moderate amount to the face and gently pat on the skin to absorb.

Update October 2018: The Skin & Lab White Vita-C Essence is a little bit expensive but it will last for a few months. This is my favorite in this box, in fact, I already emptied two bottles and currently using my third bottle.

4. Clio Pro Eye Palette Quad in 01 Amber Slip 

The 4-color daily eyeshadow palette gives a clear and transparent look formulated by a wet coating method to provide a smooth and light touch for color to shine naturally. Vivid color formation, practically, and different color depth is useful for eye makeup.


How to use Clio Pro Eye Palette Quad in 01 Amber Slip 

Using a brush, tip or finger, apply a light shade across the eyelid up to the crease.

I don’t normally put eyeshadow on my eyes because I’m not used to it but I tried it and it is so easy to apply.

5. The Choute Hot Body Salt Scrub 

A warming scrub infused with peppermint and caffeine extracts to smooth out cellulite and smoothens the contour of the body.


How to use The Choute Hot Body Salt Scrub:

Apply to the skin and gently massage in circular motion. Leave on for a minute or two, then rinse off with water.

True to its name, the scrub gives you a warm feeling. Even you already rinse it, you can still feel the warm sensation on your skin. I just can’t say if it reduced my cellulite at marami-rami ako niyan. Hehehe!

6. W.Lab Change Foot Peeling Pack 

It contains carbonated water, lemon, orange, apple, lime, acerola, pomegranate, grape, peach, kiwi, urea, aloe vera leaf


How to use W.Lab Change Foot Peeling Pack:

1. Cut the foot sheet, look for the cut line.
2. Put the sheet on then put CO2 booster into each sheet.
3. Adjust the ankle size, wait until the content is absorbed.
4. After 1 hour, put the sheet off then rinse the feet clearly.

After one hour, I did not see any changes so I patiently waited for my feet to peel. After 3 days, wala pa rin, then after 5 days wala pa rin. I was losing hope already, feeling ko wala na mangyayari. But after 6 days, my sole started to peel na. Patience is a virtue talaga. I thought hindi eepekto. Hehehe! The peeling lasted for few days but I still don’t have a baby foot, sa kapal siguro ng dead skin cells na dapat tanggalin.

7. Angel Factory Under Arm White Peeling Perfume 

Dark, dry underarms, be gone! This whitening, hydrating and exfoliating kit keeps your underarms looking and smelling as good as they feel throughout the day.


How to use Angel Factory Under Arm White Peeling Perfume: 

1. Take out the pads and gently wipe the underarms in a circular motion to cleanse and exfoliate the area.
2. Allow to dry, then apply the whitening fragrant cream onto the underarms and pat until absorbed.

I tried the Under Arm White Peeling Perfume but after using it, my armpit gets itchy, one part lang naman.

I recently bought Althea Korea Lazy Sunday box too. I will share my review next time.

This year, one of my personal goals is to take care of my skin, I’m not getting any younger so I have to take action. Actually, I feel that I’m already late because I should start doing this before I hit 30 but I’m really lazy in applying cream or anything on my face. But it is better to be late than never.

Last year, I started getting beauty product samples from Sample Room and I bought some kikay stuff from Beauty MNL site too. And now, I’m buying products from Althea Korea, I already shared my first shopping experience at Althea Korea here. I haven’t used all the products yet but because I’m interested in Korean beauty products, I kept on browsing their site and adding products to my wishlist. 

And because of the smooth transaction and price of their products, I placed another order again.

I wasn’t able to attend my friend’s birthday celebration because I was waiting for my package. Lol. Anyway, I’m happy that I got my package after one week. Here are the products...



1. Skin & Lab Vitamin Toner & Mist 

- You can use this product as a toner or mist which is perfect for hydrating your skin. I like that the product has a pump so it is easy to use. It has 5 kinds of vitamins such as vitamins A,  B, C, E and K which will make your skin soft, moist, elastic, and healthy. 

- Recommended for sensitive skin, rough skin or dull skin, dark skin tone, tired and dehydrated skin, and soothing needed skin.

When using as a toner:

1. After cleansing, put an appropriate amount on a cotton pad and gently wipe on the skin. You can do this in the morning and evening.
2. Pat lightly with your fingers to absorb into the skin

When using as a mist: 

1. Close eyes and spray directly to the face at a distance of 20cm whenever feeling dry.
2. Pat lightly in order to absorb into the skin.
3. Spray to the face whenever it feels dry or tired.

2. Althea Velvet Petal Powder P210

Inspired by Korean Althea petals, this translucent powder sets makeup and leaves behind a silky finish to the touch. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, this powder works to keep sebum production at bay without drying out the skin.

I like the color and packaging of Althea Velvet Petal Powder, it is compact and light so you can bring it everywhere. I love how fluffy the puff is, ang sarap gamitin. At first, I thought it is like the baby powder in the market na mamumuti ang face ko but I was wrong. The powder blends on my face, it is very light on the face too. The scent is gentle.

3. Missha The Style 4D Mascara P198

The packaging is really slim so the brush is also slim. Applying mascara on the eyelashes is so easy so no smudges. It gives volume but for the length, not that much. 

I've read before that mascara has only 3 months shelf life and this Missha 4D Mascara is only P198. 

4. 10pcs of Boomdeahdah Facial Mask. 



2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Lemon - Lime - Brightening - Lemon extract and lime extract deliver vitamins and moisture to seriously dry skin to keep it moisturized and fair. The scent is very light, I can barely smell the lemon scent. 
2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Rice - Brightening - It contains rice bran extract and sweet almond extract so as to make dull skin fair and healthy.  I thought this mask has no smell but surprisingly, I like the smell of this mask. 
2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Olive - Nourishing - Nutrients of olive extract full nourish dry, rough-textured skin so it can stay smooth and soft. I also like the smell of this mask. 
2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Berry - Firming - Containing strawberry extract, blueberry extract, and raspberry extract. It makes dull skin fair, transparently clean, and youthful. The scent is overpowering for me. I prefer a light scent. 
2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Pomegranate - Firming - It contains pomegranate extract and patented natural vegetable extract in order to soothe exhausted skin from the external environment and to keep it smooth. It has a fragrant scent na parang may perfume. 
2 Boomdeahdah Facial Mask Honey - Nourishing - It contains propolis extract, royal jelly extract, and honey extract to nourish and tighten rough-textured, dry skin. The scent is very light. 

How to use Boomdeahdah Facial Mask:

1. After cleansing, tone the skin.
2. Open the pouch and apply the sheet on the face thoroughly.
3. After taking a rest for 10-20 minutes, remove the sheet.
4. Tap the remaining essence gently to make it absorbed to the skin. 

I’m excited to try the facial masks sheets, I just bought few pieces so I can try each variant kung ano mas ok. Next time, I will buy the Green Tea and Aloe. I tried facial masks before (pasalubong) and it makes my skin soft and smooth but I find it expensive if I will use it every day. But this Boomdeahdah Facial Mask is not that expensive, it is only P30 per facial mask and I bought this at a discounted price. I only use this mask every weekend or if I feel stressed since I 'm already using Skin & Lab White Vita-C Essence every night.

The facial mask sheet is soft and it is easy to put on the face. The scent varies, depending on the variant that you choose. I like my mask cold so I store it in the fridge. It makes my skin soft and moisturized after using it, I even applied the leftover essence or serum on my arms. There is a little bit sticky feeling after you remove the mask but I just let it dried on my skin. There is no itchy feeling, redness or breakout the following morning.

I have more products on my wishlist, mukhang nakakaubos ng pera ang pampaganda noh? Beauty is an investment talaga. Walang panget na tao, wala lang pera pampaganda. Hehehe!

Now I have beauty routine every night, sana lang maging consistent. Hehehe!

So far, I like these products and I can feel and see na may difference na sa skin ko. If I have extra budget, pang morning routine naman ang bibilhin ko. 

I admit that I have very little knowledge when it comes to beauty products and services. I’m not really updated on what’s new, so it was only last month that I learned about haircial treatment. I joined a blog giveaway and I was lucky to win 2 gift certificates to try haircial treatment at Dermclinic. 

We took advantage of the holiday last Friday and went to Alabang Town Center. We’re supposed to watch Jurassic World first, but no more seats available at 1:15PM, so we went to Dermclinic to use our gift certificate.

I did not make any reservation, but I was glad that they accommodated us. The only problem is, they only have one equipment for haircial treatment, so I went in first. 


According to the flyer, medical haircial treatment is a specialized treatment created to thicken and nourish hair and scalp from the roots, strengthen the root system and hair structure, improve blood circulation to the scalp, and promote a healthy environment for hair growth. 

The staff will ask what your concern is; they have treatment for anti-dandruff, anti-hairfall, and anti-white hair. I have scalp psoriasis, so I chose an anti-dandruff. 

The room is quite small and very little space to move, I’m glad that I don’t have claustrophobia. Since it was my first time, I was asking the staff for the step-by-step instructions and what she was doing. Sharing with you my experience. 

1. First, she washed my hair. 
2. Then she applied scalp cleanser and hair treatment.
3. After the application, my hair was steamed for 5 minutes only. The time is very limited because from what I’ve read, it should be 20 minutes to release toxins and stimulate sweating. 
4. After the steam, she hand-massaged my hair. I was waiting for the hair massage machine but there was no machine. 
5. Next, she washed my hair and blowered just to make sure that my scalp is dry. Then I went inside the PDT (photodynamic therapy) for 5 minutes to kill fungi or bacteria in my scalp. I’m used to this because I have always experienced phototherapy for my psoriasis.
5. Lastly, the staff applied Fluoderm in the affected area. 

The haircial treatment lasted for less than an hour. I don’t feel anything during and after the treatment. I was expecting that my scalp would be massaged for blood circulation, but the staff was so hinhin na wala kami naramdaman. Lol

My experience was a little bit different compared to the blog that I’ve read, or maybe it depends on the branch. Anyway, their service is good. They are kind, soft-spoken spoken and willing to answer all my questions. My husband availed the anti-hairfall, and I don’t know step by steps.
