DIY: Christmas Ornaments

We went to National Bookstore last Saturday, I was buying materials for my son’s assignment which is world map. My husband saw this DIY Christmas ornaments and decided to buy it for my son. I was hesitant at first because it is made of porcelain but my husband wanted it so much para naman may personal touch ang aming Christmas tree.

It is buy 1 take 1 at P99.75, there are Christmas balls, Santa Claus and Angels Figurine. I want the Christmas balls para madali lang but my husband want the Angels para maiba naman at puro Christmas balls na lang daw.

My son wanted to paint as soon as we got home but I told him next time na lang. Yesterday, we experienced 9 hours black out and because of that we started to paint the Christmas figurines. I thought it was easy but it wasn’t. The box includes the paint, paintbrush and of course the figurine.'

Finished product.

I’m planning to make this a yearly activity and next time I will buy three boxes para hindi na magtampo si hubby at di namin siya sinali. =)

A repost from my old blog Michi's Home Sweet Home

  1. Wow, meron palang ganito sa National Bookstore.. Hhhmmm.. nice idea to ha para bonding rin with your son. I want to try it sana kaya lang di ako artistic eh, baka masayang lang..

  2. Cute naman. Maganda ngang gaming yearly activity. Tapos as more years come, puro handmade nalang nasa tree.

  3. I agree with mommy Rackell, this is a great bonding activity for the whole family! And it's also safe for kids since the paint is non-toxic.

  4. It's nice nga to put a personal touch to your Christmas tree. We kinda did something like that before. Our girls made Christmas ornaments as part of a school project and brought them home. We decided to include them on our tree. :)

  5. We also bought one of those last year! But we got the santa claus.

I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to leave your comment.
